Cambridge International Programme

Advanced Subsidiary & Advanced Level

  • At FIS, students who complete IGCSE can progress to Cambridge International AS & A Level or opt for the International Baccalaureate (IBDP). Both pathways build international-mindedness, critical thinking and the ability to challenge assumptions.
  • Cambridge International A Level is typically a two-year programme. Many subjects can be taken as AS Level first and later extended to a full A Level.
  • Our AS & A Level qualifications are widely valued by universities worldwide and are designed to prepare learners for rigorous undergraduate study.

What AS & A Level Develops

Programme Structure & Assessment

  • Staged pathway: Take AS Level first; extend to A Level by completing the A2 units.
  • Assessment: Written papers (short/long answer and essays), practicals where applicable, and components assessing analysis and evaluation. Examinations follow Cambridge’s global timetables; at FIS, written exams generally begin with the February series.
  • Recognition: Results are valued for university admissions worldwide.

Eligibility

Students who have successfully completed Grade 10 (e.g., IGCSE or an equivalent board) are eligible to apply for AS & A Level at FIS.

Admission Procedure

Prospective students and parents interact with the Academic Principal and the Admissions Office. The registration form, along with relevant documents, should be submitted to the school office after payment of the registration fee.
